In the face of rising costs and decreased funding, adult students will need this new Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC) (https://www.alberta.ca/canadian-adult-education-credential) for high school equivalency and as a first step to continue training or advance in the workforce. This conference will be a strong first move to foster a foundational learning community to support CAEC as a national solution with:
- accessible CAEC testing centres,
- quality CAEC prep courses,
- standard CAEC prep learning resources,
- extensive learning supports,
- regular community funding, and
- active advocacy.
