Block 3A: Prep

Odette Lloyd, CALP Lead for the NorQuest Community Adult Learning Program in Whitecourt, Alberta, will share how the CALP is meeting the needs of adult learners at varying levels of readiness through an informal study group rather than a traditional "prep course". Learners work at their own pace, with print and online resources, and are supported by each other as well as the group facilitator. The study group model is also a great way to incorporate skills for successful learning, such as managing test anxiety, how to create and stick to a study plan, and building confidence through celebrating successes along their learning journey, along with the content required for the tests.
